This is a dated comparison of the official sources linked below. “No replacement identified” means none was found in those sources during this review; it is not a guarantee about future announcements.

Announced for 2027

CNOR

Earlier / existing reference
The current 2026 outline has seven main competency groups. Intraoperative activities includes two subgroups.
Current / announced position
CCI has announced six consolidated areas for 2027. It says the overall number of items and examination time will stay the same.

The new outline reorganizes responsibilities rather than simply deleting a topic. Use the crosswalk on CCI’s announcement to map your existing notes. AceItPrep’s bank-topic labels are navigation aids, not an independently verified task-by-task mapping to the revised outline.

NREMT EMT

Earlier / existing reference
Older preparation organized content under Airway, Cardiology, Trauma, Medical/OB-GYN, and EMS Operations.
Current / announced position
Since April 7, 2025, the EMT examination uses assessment-based domains and includes technology-enhanced items.

The current EMT ranges are Scene Size-Up and Safety 15–19%, Primary Assessment 39–43%, Secondary Assessment 5–9%, Patient Treatment and Transport 20–24%, and Operations 10–14%. Pediatric care is integrated. These ranges are not five fixed quotas that must add to 100%.

ATLS

Earlier / existing reference
The familiar 10th-edition mnemonic is ABCDE.
Current / announced position
ACS launched ATLS 11 with xABCDE and a reorganized curriculum, including more emphasis on trauma systems and patient-centered care.

The added x draws attention to exsanguinating external hemorrhage when present. It does not mean every patient needs a bleeding intervention before airway assessment. This comparison summarizes curriculum changes, not a treatment protocol.

Current published format

ATI TEAS 7

Earlier / existing reference
The current ATI exam is Version 7: Reading, Math, Science, and English & Language Usage.
Current / announced position
The sources reviewed still describe 170 questions and 209 testing minutes, with separate section clocks. We are not treating the 2027 calendar year as an announced new version.

Use the TEAS pacing calculator for section checkpoints. Accommodations and school admission requirements must be confirmed separately.

OCN

Earlier / existing reference
ONCC publishes a dated Test Content Outline for OCN.
Current / announced position
The 2026 document contains six domains. In the sources reviewed, we did not identify a separate announced 2027 replacement.

The current published outline, rather than your unit’s case mix or an older prep table, should guide coverage. Read the full domain tasks in the linked document.

School-selected requirements

HESI A2

Earlier / existing reference
HESI A2 uses individual assessment modules; programs specify what applicants must take.
Current / announced position
There is no single school-independent module list or admissions cutoff to roll forward to 2027. Elsevier’s review book is not a substitute for program instructions.

For example, Mesa publishes English and math requirements and excludes science from its own nursing admission requirements. That is one institution’s policy, not a preset for your checklist.

Keep your preparation aligned with your appointment.

  1. Check the handbook, outline, or course edition assigned to your actual test date.
  2. Record its publication date and implementation notice.
  3. Compare concepts, not just the topic labels in a question bank.
  4. Recheck before registering and when your exam provider announces a revision.

Compiled by the AceItPrep team. Summaries are independent editorial comparisons, not provider approval or a claim that our banks have been audited against every announced task.
